We want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories we share.We are seeking to recruit an experienced research professional to lead on all aspects of HRP’s activity as an Independent Research Organisation (IRO). You will work across all our palaces, identifying and encouraging research funding opportunities and grant applications, advising and mentoring research-active staff, and delivering HRP’s collaborative doctoral and postdoctoral programmes. Depending on your own professional experience, you might undertake research and outputs relevant to HRP’s Research Strategy. You will represent and report on HRP’s research activities to senior internal stakeholder and lead on a number of external partnerships and collaborative projects.You will have a strong understanding of research and research funding in an IRO and/or academic context. You will enjoy working closely with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team and have experience of line management and/or supervision. You will be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal presentation skills, who feels they are able to offer effective leadership and informed responses on complex questions specific to the role. You will be highly organised and self-motivated, working simultaneously on multiple projects and programmes with competing priorities and deadlines.The person specification provides more detail on the skills and experiences we are looking for and reflects the varied nature of the role and the different professional backgrounds the successful candidate may come from.
