UCA has a significant research culture across all the university’s creative arts, technology and business disciplines (Crafts and design; Fine art and photography; Fashion; Film, media and performing arts; Communication design; Architecture; Business for the creative industries). The university is home to research centres including the Crafts Study Centre, and the Centre for Sustainable Design, and to a community of staff researchers and nearly 90 research degree students (Ph.D and M.Phil). The Research Officer supports this research culture, primarily working with staff researchers.
You will be a dedicated administrator keen to work within an academic environment in the creative arts. You will have excellent skills in organisation, documentation and communication, good IT knowledge, and a methodical and systematic approach to processes and record-keeping. You will work with staff in the award and administration of internal and external research funds, in organising research development events such as lectures, seminars and webinars, and you will update and maintain web pages on UCA’s research activities. You will be working in lively environment to support staff who are artists, designers, writers and performers.

The actual salary for this role is £17,357-£19,446 per annum
