By working to ensure the effective use of vast data collections to drive research, policy development and public good initiatives, we connect academic research and education with external partners in business, government and the third sector, driving civic engagement and business growth in the North of England and beyond.Working in the Data Analytics Team (DAT) based within LIDA, as a Research Software Technician you will work with researchers from across the University across a range of research areas, including on technical software development, data management and cloud computing, to accelerate productivity, improve research outcomes and generate societal impact.As well as spending time embedded within a variety research projects across domains and disciplines you will also be responsible for the day to day running of the University of Leeds’ Trusted Research Environment. This involves contributing to new research proposals, collaboratively designing and implementing project work flows and other tasks such as disclosure control on file transfers whilst ensuring compliance with University policy.What we offer in return
