The roleWe are seeking a highly motivated full-time research support assistant to work on a longitudinal project investigating the development of executive functions in infants and toddlers (age range: 10 to 30 months). The project is led by Dr Karla Holmboe and is funded by the UK Medical Research Council.What will you be doing?Working closely together with Dr Holmboe and her team, the successful applicant will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the project. Methods used in the project include behavioural and eye-tracking tasks, electroencephalography (EEG), functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), electrocardiography (ECG), genetics, and parental report (questionnaire data). Training in these techniques will be provided. Alongside being responsible for day-to-day testing, the post holder will undertake coding of behavioural data, cleaning and processing of neuroimaging data, and regular backups. Additionally, the post holder will have some involvement in scheduling of test sessions and collecting and organising questionnaire data. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.You should apply ifThe post is particularly suited for applicants who have successfully completed an undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field, and who have a strong interest in developmental cognitive neuroscience research. The position is funded for 2 years in the first instance with possible extension pending further funding.
