Purpose
Reporting to the Resource Mobilization and Partnership Manager and working closely with BRAC International management team, the Resource Mobilization and Communications Officer will focus on strengthening partnerships providing technical support, and actively contributing to securing future funding and partnership opportunities. This role will play a pivotal role in producing important and high-quality communication materials and knowledge products aligning with BRAC International’s branding guidelines. Collaborating with the Head Office Communications team, the officer will ensure consistent project visibility and implement impactful communication strategies. A key responsibility of this role is also to ensure timely and high-quality reporting in compliance with donor requirements. Enhancing reporting systems and overseeing the grant processing cycle are expected from this role. Furthermore, the officer will actively represent BRAC Philippines in strategic forums, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including
development partners, donors, local organizations, multi/bilateral institutions, the private sector, and other relevant entities.
A. Main Responsibilities (90%)
1. Resource Mobilization and Partnership Development
● Identify and assess new funding opportunities from bilateral and multilateral donors,
foundations, and regional organizations with support from BI GRP and country OIC.
● Support the development of funding proposals, concept notes, and donor presentations in
collaboration with program teams.
● Conduct donor landscape analysis, maintain a pipeline of potential funding opportunities, and
track donor engagement.
● Facilitate outreach efforts to cultivate relationships with potential donors and strategic
partners.
● Represent BRAC Philippines along with the Resource Mobilization Manager in external
meetings, conferences, and networking events to build visibility and foster partnerships.
● Maintain donor databases and ensure regular communication with existing and potential
donors.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
● Support the development of communication strategies for engaging key stakeholders,
including donors and partners.
● Liaise with external partners, donors, and stakeholders to ensure clear and effective
communication.
● Assist in organizing events, workshops, and other activities to promote the organization’s
mission and work.
3. Communication and Branding
● Support in developing communication materials, case studies, and impact stories to highlight
BRAC Philippines’ achievements and showcase donor contributions.
● Prepare newsletters, blogs, social media content, and reports for external audiences to
enhance project visibility.
● Collaborate with the Head Office Communications team to align messaging with BRAC
International’s branding and communication strategy.
● Ensure consistent branding and adherence to donor communication protocols across all
external and internal communication platforms.
4. Reporting and Documentation
● Prepare regular project progress reports as per donor compliance, adhering to the contractual
obligations.
● Maintain a comprehensive database of proposals, contracts reports, and other key
communication materials.
● Document best practices and lessons learned in proposal development and communications
for future reference.
● Support grant-related documentation and reporting in coordination with CO and BI colleagues.
B. Others (10%)
● Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation
to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of
support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
● Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and
ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
● Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place,
encourage others to do so.
Academic Qualifications:
Communications, English, Journalism, or a related
field. A Master’s degree is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in International Development,
Experience Requirements:
● Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, fundraising, or a related role within an NGO, development agency, or similar organization.
● Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences.
● Strong understanding of international donor requirements and grant compliance processes, with hands-on
experience working with donors such as USAID, UN, EU, and other bilateral/multilateral agencies.
● Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into compelling proposals, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
● Experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, donors, and partners.
