Summary:
The Retail Systems Designer serves as lead for retail facing system projects with focus on enhancing the overall associate and client experience and will consult between retail and business partners to support the retail network. This position will report directly to the Retail Operations Director, working closely with the Retail Operations team, Information Technology, and business partners to improve overall operational systems and functions.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform tasks related to the design and administration of software systems and applications.
Identifies and assess user needs or project requirements, and design or configure systems feature functionality that meet those needs.
Communicates identified issues, results of system projects, and recommendations to management and other appropriate staff members in a timely manner through written reports and/or oral presentations.
Develop and implement strategies to drive operational excellence in conjunction with overall company, Regional Bank and Retail Bank initiatives through our people, processes, and performance.
Fosters a strong level of team cohesiveness through open and frequent communication, with focus on market/region consistency as well as support overall goals and initiatives.
Solicitation of feedback to assess level of support provided by the team with responsive actions to remedy or promote findings.
The duties of this position are performed in a normal office with periodic travel as needed for employee onboarding and team activities or special projects and is expected to be approximately 25% of employees work time and may include trips outside the area with overnight stay as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct supervisory responsibilities are assigned to Retail Systems Designer.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:
Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 5+ years of branch banking operations and Argo Data systems experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expertise with all branch banking software applications, including Argo Data, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read and listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing.
High level of problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills necessary.
Must show ability to take ideas and plans from paper to reality.
Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Be able to deal with non-routine matters, such as special projects, with minimum specific instruction.
Strong ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make decisions.
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
