As part of a greater team, this position will play a role in facilitating and supporting profitable growth, while minimizing excessive risk, through effective revenue and inventory management, pricing, and data analysis.This role will actively communicate with a variety of company stakeholders and provide recommendations to achieve optimal outcomes for our travellers and the organization. Further, this role will have a particular focus on ideating and supporting cross-functional predictive analytics projects to promote strategic growth.This is an 8-12 month limited term contract.This is a hybrid role based out of Toronto, where a minimum number of days as set by the region, is required in the Downtown Toronto office.What You’ll Be Doing:Plan, build and monitor inventory levels for assigned regions and productsSet pricing strategy for each assigned product through analysis of cost information from the contracting team and in line competitive research and commercial needsReview, analyze and report on profitabilityCollaborate with regional product, buying and operations teams to understand challenges or opportunities that relate to profitability (e.g. cost changes on trip profitability)Work closely with various sales and marketing stakeholders to identify ways to drive sales growthDevelop relationships across departments to ensure full support of risk product (e.g. boats, overland vehicles) and coordinate efforts towards our company product prioritiesImplement inventory management strategies to achieve targets set by company through discounting, pricing strategy and system toolsPlan and lead monthly strategy meetings with Destination Teams comprised of Product, Buying, Operations and Revenue ManagementGain an in depth understanding of Key Performance Indicators and taking appropriate action to achieve company and departmental targetsUse a wide variety of available reports and reporting tools to employ data analysis techniques to derive meaningful insights, patterns and trends with the dual goals of profitability maximization and high customer satisfaction scoresRepresent and drive the interests of the revenue management department through effective and clear communication with stakeholdersLiaise with internal departments to determine appropriate fees for exceptional cases as requiredDevelop and implement new procedures and reporting to maximize profitability and efficiencyAssist in the provision of regular reports and stats for the Senior Leadership team as requiredRequired Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years’ experience in the travel industryAt least 1 year experience working with stakeholders or customers, preferably from a variety of cultural or language backgroundsIntermediate knowledge of Excel or Google SheetsExceptional verbal and written communication skills. Specifically, the ability to communicate large, complex data sets and complex processes in a meaningful way to stakeholders with varied knowledge of the subject matterExperience with project management, particularly across cross-functional teamsExtremely organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demandsSuperior attention to detail and a love of problem solvingExperience with CRM or Business Intelligence software (eg.
