The successful candidate for the position above will be working in our Cellular Products Group designing radio frequency integrated circuit antenna control products for cellular handset applications. The products include a range of high-performance RF switches and impedance tuners. The candidate will act as the Technical Lead supporting products during the entire product life cycle from product definition and design through product release to end-of-life. As part of a cross-functional product development team the candidate will support other essential disciplines including marketing and applications, project management, quality, characterization, production and test engineering. The candidate should also expect opportunities to contribute towards IP generation and advanced development for future products.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product definition: assist product / technical marketing in defining new products through feasibility studies and technical competitive analyses.
- Product design and evaluation: integrated circuit design, schematic capture, IC layout, simulation, package analysis, evaluation board design, design validation.
- Product characterization: work with characterization and test engineers to define, conduct and analyze data from product performance characterization.
- Production test development: work with test engineers to define, develop and ramp production test solutions.
- Product documentation: document all relevant product and design information to educate others on novel design techniques and provide guidance on product usage.
- Product support: work with applications, product, test and manufacturing engineers to help answer customer questions, assess field failures, support yield improvements, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSEE/BSc as well as at least 4 years relevant work experience; MSc and/or PhD is a benefit
- In-depth experience with Cadence design tools
- Strong knowledge of RF design and measurement techniques
- Awareness of and experience with different IC process technologies
- ADS/Momentum experience is an asset
- Preferably good lab skills and familiarity with RF test equipment
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on assignments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter and team player
