Introduction
UNDP Viet Nam is looking for 01 qualified consultancy firm/institute/organization for the provision of Climate and Energy Policy Advisory to JETP RMP implementation in Viet Nam.
In December 2022, Viet Nam and the International Partners Group (IPG), a set of industrialised economies comprising the European Union, United Kingdom of Britain and Ireland, United States of America, Japan, Federal Republic of Germany, the French Republic, the Italian Republic, Canada, Kingdom of Denmark, and Kingdom of Norway agreed to a Political Declaration (PD) on establishing the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).
UNDP is seeking a consulting firm to provide high-level strategic advice to the government and partners on climate change and energy policies, facilitating the implementation of the JETP RMP. The consulting firm will collaborate closely with other experts mobilized by UNDP as SSA to deliver technical assistance for both JETP project facilitation and regular JETP coordination support.
The firm will be responsible for timely mobilizing resources with the following specializations:
1. International Senior Technical Advisory Service on Climate and Energy Policy (120 days)
2. National Senior Expertise on Financial Structuring of Investment Projects (40 days)
These resources will be embedded within the SSA, supporting the JETP Secretariat Standing Office, its working groups (WGs), and IPG members in rolling out prioritized workplans.
The overall objective of the firm’s services is to provide strategic advice on JETP implementation, investment project-development facilitation, improvement of the regulatory environment, JETP Monitoring & Evaluation, and JETP communication and consultations.
