And whoever we’re with, whatever we’re doing, we always make it real.Job DescriptionCredit and Counterparty Risk Monitoring (primary responsibility)

  • Measurement, monitoring and control of credit and counterparty risks on assigned products within the ofi portfolio
  • Generate regular analysis on credit and counterparty reports and propose mitigations
  • Participate in risk and trading meetings and conference calls with Business Units and Risk Management Group
  • Monitor exposures against limits and escalate in accordance with internal risk policy
  • Articulating current and potential risks, performing sensitivity analysis on exposures and flagging off risk events to the Business teams proactively
  • Ensure that risk exposures are correctly captured and reported in the system, identifying any gaps in exposure reporting and driving resolution of issues
  • Evaluate proposals and present recommendations on credit and counterparty risk limits for new and existing businesses, and as part of the annual risk budgeting exercise
  • Participation in development of new and existing IT systems as required

Market Risk monitoringIn case you are also experienced in Market Risk monitoring, we would surely like to hear from you! In that case, your portfolio can be expanded to cover Market Risk Monitoring as well. This will include activities such as:

  • Monitor exposures for assigned product against limits and escalate in accordance with internal risk policy
  • Articulating current and potential risks, performing sensitivity analysis on exposures and flagging off risk events to the Business teams proactively
  • Monitoring VaR limits, creating risk reports, highlighting key risk exposures, etc.
  • Maintain high levels of internal stakeholder engagement at all levels to continually improve the risk profile of the business and to work closely with the business and country teams to ensure that commercial requirements are understood and acted upon so as to inculcate and maintain effective business and risk control.

RequirementsQualifications and required skills:

  • Graduate degree in a Finance, economics, accounting, etc. Post graduate degree (e.g.: Masters, PhD). Professional qualification (e.g. FRM/ CFA) desirable but not compulsory, depending on experience
  • 10 years of risk management experience covering Credit, Counterparty in investment bank/commodities trading house/clearing broker. Prior experience in market risk is a positive
  • Strong analytic skills and proven knowledge in commodities products and markets
  • Attention to detail but an ability to distil complex information into readily digestible communication (both written and oral) at all levels

Personal Qualities

  • Commercially focused risk manager with strong interpersonal & influencing skills and ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders
  • Pro-active intervention and resolution of potential risk issues before they unfold
  • Self-directed and able to operate effectively at all levels with limited oversight from immediate manager
