Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Scheduling Operations Manager, and working in collaboration with the Assistant Manager, or delegate, the Scheduling Advisor supports the scheduling team to ensure coverage of duties and is responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic and integrated approach to troubleshooting and escalation of scheduling and system related activities. The position provides scheduling leadership and advice to advance priorities and facilitates actions that serve the scheduling needs for the zone operations. This role will be well versed with the scheduling and time software, provide direction and instruction as well as training for scheduling activities and contingency procedures.The Advisor acts as a first point of contact and resource for managers, employees, and the scheduling operations team in ensuring compliance and alignment with the scheduling and time system, relevant legislation, regulations, collective agreements, policies, operational and strategic objectives, and the mission, vision and values of the organization. The Scheduling Advisor is responsible to maintain a high degree of data and business process quality and integrity, and to actively participate in the continuous improvement process. The Advisor applies a broad base of knowledge and experience in successfully carrying out the responsibilities of the role.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduate of post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Relevant certification in scheduling or business enterprise information systems (particularly SF, UKG, Workforce Pro) preferred.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the scheduling operations as related to the employee life cycle preferably in a business enterprise software system and preferably in a unionized health care environment.
- Demonstrated planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, synthesize information, problem solve and utilize good judgment in decision making
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality; recognize sensitive issues and respond appropriately.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Exemplary work history as demonstrated in current and past employment
- Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
- Some travel will be required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
