School Administration and Projects Assistant

University of Bristol

The School of Arts supports five successful and dynamic departments: Music, Film, Theatre, Anthropology and Archaeology, and Philosophy; with administrative support for the school based at 43 Woodland Road. As School Administrative and Projects Assistant, you will be a key member of the School of Arts Executive Team, providing general office and administrative support to a wide range of colleagues. The role is based in the School’s main administrative hub but will work across the different departments meaning you will be working across campus on a variety of tasks. Please note that this role is based on the campus and so opportunities for homeworking are limited.

You will provide general office and administrative support as well as assisting the Executive Team with projects, organisation of events and certain health and safety responsibilities. A key element of this role is finance administration: organising payment of fees, ordering goods and consumables, booking travel and accommodation.

You should have excellent IT skills and experience of finance administration. A commitment to providing high-level customer experience, and ability to work effectively as part of a team with competing deadlines and demands is essential. You will be able to build and maintain co-operative relationships at all levels and have a willingness to interact with our students and academics in a confident and friendly manner.

Contract type: Open ended

Work pattern: Part time

Grade: E

It is anticipated that interviews will take place during week commencing July 10th.
