As part of the University’s continued support to professional services within Schools, the opportunity has arisen for a School Manager to manage the Professional Services provision of the School of Classics and the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. (2 days Classics, 3 days Earth and Environmental Sciences).Working alongside the Heads of School and senior members of academic staff, you will provide strategic guidance to each School while effectively managing all operations. You will be a key liaison point between the Schools and the University, will manage two distinct Professional Service Teams, and develop and implement operational plans to support the Schools and University in achieving their strategic objectives.Educated to degree level, you will be a proactive self-starter who processes excellent team and relationship management skills, sound judgement and effective problem-solving skills. You will also have the ability to use your initiative in order to ensure overall operations across the two Schools are delivered in a way that enhances both Schools’ reputation and standing in teaching and research.Experience in a similar role in a University or research environment with an understanding of teaching and research within Higher Education would be advantageous.Employees of the University have access to a wide range of including:
