About the Role
Applications are invited for the post of School Manager in the School of Mathematical Sciences.
This post is a part of the School leadership team providing strategic and operational direction for the School. The role holder will have a particular focus on ensuring the administrative infrastructure and services within the school are effective and respond appropriately to strategic and operational challenges to continue the high level of support for activities within the School and take a leading role in supporting and enabling the School and the Faculty to meet their strategic aims.
About You
Candidates should have demonstrable management experience, ideally in a Higher Education environment, with experience of managing a diverse team of professional staff, and of financial planning and budgeting, resource management, operational and strategic planning.
About the School
The School of Mathematical Sciences is home to around 1400 undergraduate and postgraduate students, 80 academic staff and a professional services team of 13. It is a large and dynamic school with strong links with industry, offering students a stimulating and supportive learning experience.
The School is located within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, which comprises of five Schools. The role sits within the Professional Services job family and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues across a wide range of responsibilities to help deliver its academic mission.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time permanent appointment, with an expected start date before August 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 7, in the range of £60,128-£67,139 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
