Looking for a School Support Worker in Wareham!School Support Worker
Location: Wareham
Salary: £76.92 – £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, PermanentGSL Education are excited to invite opportunity as we are seeking a passionate and motivated School Support Worker to join a supportive and inclusive school in Wareham. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children and young people in their academic, social, and emotional development.As a School Support Worker, you will provide tailored assistance to students, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged in their learning environment.School Support Worker Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to students with additional needs.
• Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school environment, ensuring students feel safe and engaged.
• Support classroom activities, helping students to stay on task and reach their learning objectives.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help with personal care tasks if required, ensuring students’ well-being.

• Maintain a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualification & Skills:

• Previous experience working in a school, care, or support setting is desirable but not essential.
• A caring and patient approach, with a passion for supporting young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
• A proactive and adaptable attitude to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
