The SchoolsPlus Clinician will practice the principles and philosophy of CAPA (Choice and Partnership Approach) in all areas of position responsibility. With a focus on providing early identification and intervention for mental health and addictions issues, the clinician will provide evidence based individual and family therapy as well as group interventions, referrals to the Mental Health and Addictions Services, a bridge to support reintegration to school following treatment and Mental Health/Addictions education and consultation to school staff. The clinician will integrate prevention and health promotion into clinical practice, provide input into programming and participate in evaluation research.
Services will be provided throughout the year, including summer vacation and other school holidays, based on the identified needs of the client population, the school system and the IWK MHA Program.Hours of WorkMonday to Friday; 8:30am – 4:30pm. En mettant l’accent sur le dépistage précoce des problèmes de santé mentale et de dépendances, et sur l’intervention connexe, la clinicienne ou le clinicien fournira une thérapie individuelle et familiale fondée sur des données probantes ainsi que des interventions de groupe, des orientations vers les services de santé mentale et de dépendances, une passerelle pour soutenir la réintégration à l’école après le traitement et l’éducation et la consultation en matière de santé mentale et de toxicomanie pour le personnel de l’école. La clinicienne ou le clinicien intégrera la prévention et la promotion de la santé dans sa pratique clinique, apportera sa contribution à la programmation et participera à la recherche sur l’évaluation.Les services seront fournis tout au long de l’année, y compris pendant les vacances d’été et les autres vacances scolaires, en fonction des besoins identifiés de la population cliente, du système scolaire et du programme de santé mentale et de dépendances du centre IWK.Heures de travailDu lundi au vendredi, de 8 h 30 à 16 h 30.
