Salary: CompetitiveA dynamic and vibrant Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Tower Hamlets is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science HLTA to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school that is committed to providing a high-quality education for students who require additional support. As a Science HLTA, you will be working with students who may have faced barriers to their learning, helping them re-engage with their education and achieve their full potential.In this role, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and interactive science lessons, provide tailored support to students, and assist with behavior management in a nurturing environment. Your expertise will help students build confidence in their science abilities, develop essential skills, and build the foundation for future success.Role Highlights:
- Permanent, full-time role at a vibrant PRU in Tower Hamlets
- Support the delivery of science lessons and provide targeted assistance to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging science activities
- Provide behavioural support and help create a positive, focused learning environment
- Foster student engagement and encourage curiosity and critical thinking in science
- Contribute to the development of individualized learning plans and interventions for students
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience working as an HLTA or TA in a secondary school or PRU setting
- Strong science knowledge and the ability to assist in teaching science concepts effectively
- Experience working with students who may have challenging behaviour or additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to foster a positive classroom environment and manage behavior effectively
- Enhanced DBS check required
