Science Teacher – Secondary School

Academics Crawley is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in the Crawley area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking science department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality science education.The successful candidate will be expected to teach General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is welcomed but not essential.Key Responsibilities:*Deliver well-planned, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
*Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing clear and constructive feedback
*Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independent thinking
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
*Participate in staff development and wider school life, including parents’ evenings and CPD eventsRequirements:*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
*A strong academic background in a science-related subject
*Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching science
*Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
*A commitment to high standards and continued professional development

Expected salary

£31650 – 49084 per year
