Cell Press is a prominent publisher in the scientific community, particularly known for its high-impact journals in the life sciences. Established in 1986, it has become a significant part of the academic publishing landscape, especially in fields like biology, medicine, and environmental science.About the RoleYou will support editors and authors to optimize publishing success and work on cross-journal projects for Cell Press. This is a full-time role based in the UK, but other locations may be considered case by caseResponsibilitiesAssessing submitted research papers and guiding them through peer reviewWorking collaboratively with Cell Press editors on handling of Cell Press Multi-Journal Submission manuscriptsSupporting authors through the process of peer reviewEstablishing relationships with researchers who are publishing with our journalsBuilding effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyondRequirementsHave a PhD in a relevant life or medical science disciplineHave broad scientific interests and a desire to learnHave great teamworking skills and a collaborative problem-solving mindsetHave an interest in digital communication and publishing trendsBe a critical thinker and be willing to learn and absorb new areas of researchPossess the ability to work successfully in a diverse global teamInclude a copy of your resume and a cover letter outlining your reasons for interest in the position.
