Salary: £25K – £30K per annum, DOE + Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

This will be a growing and evolving role with exciting prospects for the right candidate.Responsibilities of our Product Data and Support Assistant:

  • Providing scientific technical support and supporting customers via email and phone with any queries
  • Resolving complaints by proposing solutions which ensure customer’s satisfaction
  • Troubleshooting customer applications (such as WB, IHC, ELISA, etc)
  • Liaising promptly with colleagues worldwide to ensure smooth service
  • Supporting members of staff with product documentation
  • Reviewing customer feedback and suggesting relevant improvements
  • Liaising with channel partners and colleagues to obtain latest product information
  • Manipulating large Excel sheets using formulas and macros
  • Ensuring product data on our website is up to date, accurate and complete
  • Creating product lists for marketing and distributors as required
  • Suggesting automation and/or improvements for front and back-end processes and functionality

Skills and ExperienceRequired:

  • Life sciences degree (BSc, MRes, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques (WB, IHC, ELISA etc.)
  • Capable of methodical problem solving and ability to identify patterns
  • Proficiency with Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken

Advantageous:

  • Experience in customer support or troubleshooting
  • Experience with a programming language (e.g. Python) and database management (e.g. SQL)
  • Ecommerce platform experience

You will be organized, decisive, efficient and practical, as well as a methodical multi-tasker with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.You will also display attention to detail and the ability to think ‘outside the box’, have common sense, good communication skills, memory and be reliable, discreet and a good time-keeper.Full training will be provided. You will be organized, creative, decisive, efficient and practical.
