We are looking for an Assistant Farm Worker to join the team at Sedgemoor Reserves to play a key role in delivering habitat management in one of the most important wetlands in the UK. Do you have an interest in conservation grazing and wet grassland management? Would you like to work in one of the most diverse wetland landscapes in the UK delivering for an amazing range of species and habitats in a close-knit team?
This role will undertake daily routine care of cattle on site from May to October as part of a team. This will include safe movement between locations, penning and rescue from ditches whilst maintaining high welfare standards and H&S compliance for staff and volunteers.
In addition to livestock care you will undertake a range of habitat and agricultural management activities on the reserve, including hay cutting, topping, fencing, and general estate management to produce the conditions required to deliver the ecological management plan objectives.

This is a Fixed-Term Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week for six months.
The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
