You will work closely with teachers to ensure students receive tailored support, helping them overcome challenges and achieve success in their studies. This role will allow you to make a positive impact while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic school setting.What you have to do as a Secondary TA:

• Provide tailored academic support to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons by preparing materials and resources.
• Offer one-to-one or small-group support to students who need additional help.
• Support students with their study skills, coursework, and exam preparation.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Encourage and motivate students to engage with their learning.
• Assist in behaviour management and classroom supervision.
• Provide support for students with additional learning needs.
• Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for all learners.

What we need from a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting is desirable.
• CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. University students are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting students.
• A passion for helping young people develop academically and personally.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
