We are now looking for a Sector Ranger, (sector covers south of Dartmoor), to join us on a
full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role
As a Sector Ranger, you will work across the South of Dartmoor, acting as an ambassador and
ensuring everyone has access to and can look after and use the National Park through the
management of the Rights of Way network. A strong practical ability will be essential.
Undertaking visitor management and engagement, you will patrol common and access land,
providing advice and assistance to the public and, where appropriate, enforcing relevant
byelaws.
You will also contribute to and support activities that promote the special qualities of the
National Park through guided walks and talks programmes, Youth Rangers, educational visits and
by representing the Authority at events, shows and Parish Councils.

Please note, this role requires regular weekend and bank holiday work, as per the rota which
covers seven days per week. There will also be a requirement to work occasional evenings (e.g.
for attendance at Parish Council meetings). The role is also subject to a DBS check.
