Security Guard – Amuda, North East Syria (National)

Mission

Geneva Call is an international humanitarian organization striving to enhance the protection of civilians in conflict contexts. Role

To ensure the safety of Geneva Call’s office and guesthouse.

Role Responsibilities

Security

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings and equipment.
• Inspect lights, locks, doors, windows.
• Check generator (fuel, oil, battery, log book, maintenance schedule).
• Inspect premises inside and outside on regular rounds.
• Report any suspicious activity to supervisor.
• Remain vigilant at all times.
• Follow the organisation’s Security Roles and reporting requirements in the event of any security incidents.
• Follow argeed procedures within your support area and deliver tasks in line with schedule and standards.

Key Skills

• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with basic security and fire inspection procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a guard or in. Security role desirable but not essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent Arabic language skills.

• Remain visible to deter potential threats.
• Be vigilant and respond effectively to incidents.
• Observe and report security-related matters.

Performance management

The employee will be accountable for the responsibilities and the competencies, in accordance with the GC Performance Management p. The following documents will be used for performance reviews:
