Description We are in search of a Security Network Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the security of our network infrastructure, handling tasks like managing and responding to security breaches, deploying security tools, and overseeing a Multi-Factor Authentication project. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or LogRhythm to monitor, detect and respond to security threats in real-time.

• Lead the incident response process to security breaches by identifying and containing the threat, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring systems are securely restored.

• Deploy and manage CrowdStrike, an endpoint security tool used for threat detection, prevention, and response.

• Configure and manage Fortinet Security Systems, including firewalls and VPNs, to protect network perimeter and manage VPN connections.

• Plan and assess requirements for a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) project, select appropriate MFA methods, integrate MFA with existing systems, and develop a user enrollment process.

• Define and enforce MFA policies, provide user training, and develop a communication strategy for informing users about changes and providing support resources.

• Use your skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Cisco ASA Firewall, Cisco Routers, Check Point, Configuration Management, Datacenter, Arcsight SIEM, Splunk, MFA, Azure Active Directory, and Azure AD Connect to perform your duties effectively. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Security Network Engineer or similar role

• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

• Significant experience with Cisco ASA and Cisco ASA Firewall

• Proven knowledge of Cisco Routers

• Experience with Check Point and Checkpoint Firewall

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware and Configuration Management

• Experience working in a Datacenter environment

• Proficiency in Arcsight SIEM and Splunk

• Knowledge of MFA, Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Azure API Management

• Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
