Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you a compassionate and patient individual passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Maltby (S66) area. This role of SEMH TA offers the opportunity to support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, helping them thrive in a safe and structured learning environment.Responsibilities as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Implement and support individual behaviour and learning plans.
• Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional regulation.
• Support classroom learning and promote engagement with academic tasks.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure holistic pupil development.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress.

Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs is desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual pupil requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
