Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit Support Assistants to work in a Multi Academy Trust within Devon.Your role will entail you to work on a 1:1 basis with children engaging them socially whilst maintaining a strong relationship and encouraging their academic development. Your responsibilities will involve working both inside and outside the classroom, and you may accompany students off-site (a full, clean driving license is mandatory). You will be working closely with the children, parents and other professionals, observing the child’s development and offering new initiatives that inspire them to progress further.To be successful for this role, you must have a qualification of Level 3 or higher that relates to children. For example:

• Health & Social Care
• Childcare
• Sports Coaching
• Supporting Learning and education
• Others will be considered

The ideal candidate will also have previous experience in either the following sectors or another relevant role:

• Youth Work
• Support Work
• Psychology

Due to the high demand for Teaching Assistants, Teaching Personnel will offer you a two week paid induction. Here you will undergo all the training that you need for this role. This comprehensive program ensures familiarity with the school’s ethos and vision, ensuring you start off with all you need throughout.
