Job Title: SEN Teacher (ASC/ASD experience)Location: BristolStart Date: 02/09/2024Position Type: Full -Time Monday to FridayAre you a dedicated SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting children with SEN or particularly autism? We are currently seeking a Qualified Teacher to join a reputable SEN school in Bristol that caters to primary-aged children with Autism. The school are looking for a replacement to take over an ASC class from September and this would be on a temp to perm contract. This would be a full time duties role so the successful person will be paid to scale with SEN allowance on top.About the School:Our SEN school is renowned for its commitment to providing outstanding education and support to children with a range of SEN needs, particularly those with Autism and emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our dedicated staff members work collaboratively to provide personalized support and tailored interventions, ensuring each student’s unique needs are met.Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate the diverse needs of students with ASC/ASDCreate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters emotional well-being and positive behaviourAssess and monitor students’ progress, providing timely feedback and implementing targeted interventionsCollaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including Teaching Assistants and Therapists, to provide a holistic approach to student supportFoster positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, ensuring open communication and partnership in the education processRequirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExperience working with children with SEN (essential)Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions for supporting students with AutismStrong behaviour management skills and ability to de-escalate challenging situations.Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students who have emotional and behavioural difficulties.Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skillsWhy Tradewind?
