SEN Teaching Assistant – HounslowContract type: Permanent (FTC positions may also be available for the right candidate)
Start date: September 2025
Hours: 8.30am – 4pm approximately
Salary: £22,500 – £26,000SEN Teaching Assistant – responsibilitiesAs a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.Your role will involve:*Providing one-to-one and small group support to students in the classroom (multiple subject areas).
*Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).
*Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
*Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
*Encouraging independence and confidence in students.SEN Teaching Assistant – school*Specialist school in Hounslow
*Primary and secondary section – flexibility required

*Supportive of graduates wishing to train as teachersSEN Teaching Assistant – requirements*A 2:1 or above from a top UK university – Psychology graduates are desirable
*Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in a school setting
*Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a positive attitude
*Has a good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
*Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
*Knowledge of Makaton or PECs is desirable
