SEN Teaching Assistant – Plymouth
£83.33 per day

Must have UK driving licence, own car, and DBS on the Update ServiceGSL Education is currently supporting an SEN school in Plymouth, seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for permanent positions. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a positive impact on students with special educational needs.The school provides a tailored educational experience for students with complex needs, often including one-to-one support and customised timetables. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a critical part of the support system for students at risk of needing residential placements or returning from out-of-county care. The school supports students from Key Stages 1 to 4, and there are multiple SEN Teaching Assistant roles available.Responsibilities:

• Act as a learning mentor, providing individualised guidance and support to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create comprehensive support plans.
• Foster a positive environment that enhances students’ social skills and communication.
• Support students with daily academic tasks and implement interventions that promote positive behaviour outcomes.

Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence with Access to a Car
• Willing to use your car for business purposes and maintain business insurance.
• Available immediately for full-time, term-time work.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate clear interactions.
• Patience, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability to meet students’ unique needs.
• A commitment to helping students achieve success.
