We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Havant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine commitment to supporting learners with diverse needs, helping them to achieve their best in both academic and personal development.Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Provide personalised support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism and social-emotional challenges.
• Work closely with teachers and fellow SEN staff to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Implement tailored strategies to encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities.
• Assist with behaviour management, helping to maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
• Adapt your approach to meet each student’s unique needs, ensuring they feel a sense of belonging and can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:

• Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
• Proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, including physical disabilities, language disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
• Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or special education.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate with families and other professionals.
• A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN strategies and best practices.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
