Job descriptionProspero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to a child in Year 4 at a mainstream school. This ongoing contract position is set to begin in September.Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Implement tailored interventions and strategies to support the child’s academic and social development.
- Monitor and record the child’s progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere, promoting confidence and independence in the child.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN and strategies for supporting learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (preferred).
