Our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hammersmith is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, helping them thrive in a supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs, including autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and assist with the delivery of personalized learning activities.
- Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, ensuring a positive learning experience.
- Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
- Foster a caring, safe, and supportive environment for all students, adhering to safeguarding policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with SEN.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to helping children achieve their full potential and supporting their emotional and academic growth.
