We have the perfect opportunity for you!Are you an experienced SEN Tutor or a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs in the education and training sector? We are looking for an empathetic and committed SEN Tutor to join a fantastic team in Stevenage. This role offers the opportunity to provide personalized, one-on-one support to students with a range of learning needs, including Functional Skills and GCSE preparation.Role: SEN TutorLocation: StevenagePay: £130 – £150 per daySector: Education and TrainingHours: 08:30 – 16:30SEN Tutor Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students with SEN, focusing on their unique learning styles and needs.
• Support students in their academic and social development, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Monitor and track student progress, collaborating with the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for each learner.
• Adapt and modify teaching materials to make them accessible for all students.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students, boosting their confidence and helping them achieve their potential.
• About You:
• Proven experience as an SEN Tutor, including experience delivering Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring.
• Strong understanding of various learning needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia) and effective strategies for supporting SEN students.
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Skilled in adapting lessons to meet the diverse abilities and needs of students.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
• Ideally based in or around Stevenage, with the ability to commute easily to the role.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with SEN, ideally with a background in Functional Skills and GCSE curriculum.
• Strong understanding of different learning difficulties (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia) and how to support students with SEN effectively.
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a passion for helping students reach their potential.
• Ability to adapt lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and their families.
• Ability to drive or commute to Stevenage and surrounding areas.
