Salary: Leadership Scale (dependent on experience)A well-renowned secondary school in Westminster is seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to lead their Special Educational Needs provision from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-achieving school with a strong commitment to inclusion, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.Role Highlights:

  • Full-time, permanent position at a prestigious secondary school in Westminster
  • Lead and manage the SEN provision, ensuring high-quality support for students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive teaching and learning across the school
  • Oversee the assessment, tracking, and progress monitoring of students with SEN
  • Provide professional development and training for staff to enhance their understanding of SEN best practices
  • Work closely with senior leadership, teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to student support
  • Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and maintain a focus on continuous improvement in SEN provision

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience as a SENCO, ideally in a secondary school setting
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education strategies
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff in delivering exceptional SEN support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and external stakeholders
  • A proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving
  • Enhanced DBS check required
