SEND Intervention CoordinatorSeptember 2024Location – EastbourneContract – Full-timeSalary: £83 – £110, DOESupply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a well-regarded school in Eastbourne, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and ambition for all students. The school is seeking an experienced an caring candidate to join them as a SEND Intervention Coordinator to support the Head of Department for Inclusion (SENCO) and co-ordinate the learning interventions offered by the Inclusion team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in both one-on-one and group settings, ensuring individual learning plans are followed.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify lessons and activities to meet the diverse needs of SEN students, promoting an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the development of social and communication skills, helping students to interact positively with peers and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, providing regular feedback to teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents.

To succeed in this role you will be:

  • Experienced working with children with a wide range of additional needs.
  • Local to Eastbourne or willing to commute.
  • Adaptable in facilitating the progress of children with diverse circumstances.
  • Passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential.
