We do this through a wide range of enhancement activities, including accredited courses, one to one support, events, online resources, the sharing of institution wide innovative practice, and bespoke workshops. We play a key role in enabling Goldsmiths’ strategic ambitions for education and the student experience. The Centre’s Director is Dr Fiona Handley, and there are currently 10 people in the TaLIC team.For further details please see http://www.gold.ac.uk/talic/About the RoleThe Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TaLIC) is looking for a 0.8 FTE Senior Academic Developer to join our friendly team of Academic Developers and Teaching Enhanced Learning specialists. The Senior Academic Developer role involves initiating, developing and leading programmes and initiatives to support academic and professional services staff to develop their skills, knowledge and values in teaching, and supporting students’ learning, and in curriculum design and development.About the CandidateWe are looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across multiple projects throughout the College simultaneously. The main focus of the role is to lead our CPD route to Advance HE Fellowship (D1, D2, D3), increasing our numbers of Fellows in line with our targets, and expanding the provision to reach more people who teach or support learning. Our ideal candidate would have experience as an academic developer or academic, with D3 Senior Fellowship or near to completion, and with a keen sense of supporting our work in equality and diversity and the student experience. As an excellent team player and communicator, the role holder will be making connections at all levels across the College. The role is hybrid with split working between home and our campus in New Cross, London.Interviews will take place online on 8th October 2024 and will include a presentation on the topic of “Staff development to enhance student learning” that should include at least one case study from your own experience, show a range of pedagogic approaches to how students learn, and demonstrate how you have worked with a range of stakeholders.For more information about the role please contact Dr Fiona Handley, Director of TaLIC (f.handley@gold.ac.uk)
