We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Accountant. This role offers a 3-6 month contract employment opportunity. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for handling a range of accounting tasks, including full cycle accounting, SAP, preparing schedules, trial balance, month-end tasks, and some FP& A tasks. This role requires someone who can work independently with minimal supervision.Responsibilities:
- Conduct full-cycle accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines
- Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks and operations
- Prepare and manage accounting schedules to streamline financial reporting and analysis
- Oversee trial balance procedures to maintain accurate financial records
- Execute month-end tasks to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Handle some FP& A tasks to aid in financial planning and analysis
- Work independently on tasks, demonstrating the ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and month end close activities to maintain accurate financial records.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant
- Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in Month End Close is required
- Proficiency in using SAP software is essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
