Senior Accountant in Agawam, Massachusetts

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Agawam, MA

Salary Range: $80,000 to $105,000 – Direct Hire – Pay based on Experience.

Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Accountant to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust background in accounting in the field of Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

  • Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

  • Inventory Management: Track and reconcile inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in Manufacturing.

• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional communication, and analytical skills.
