About the Opportunity

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the company’s general ledger and sub-ledgers in accordance with IFRS and Group policies

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes while actively seeking to improve efficiency and quality
• Ensure complex or new transactions are appropriately accounted, documented and implemented in compliance with IFRS and Group policies
• Identify and implement new improvements that lead to innovation and efficiencies for the department and the business

• Lead cross functional projects to implement processes and controls as well as represent Finance’s interest in Company’s strategic projects ensuring appropriate accounting, controls and reporting are implemented
• Drive optimization of new and existing accounting systems and platforms
• Identify obstacles, take initiatives, make recommendations, and execute necessary actions to ensure successful completion of projects

• Determine and execute socialization, implementation and change management strategies as it relates to process changes
• Oversee the Accounting Team and provide performance feedback, coaching and training to ensure effective departmental operation

About You

• Qualifications and Experience we like to see:
• University or College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline; CPA is required
• 6+ years’ progressive experience in a retail or manufacturing environment would be an asset including minimum 3-4 years public accounting experience
• Experience with projects
• Experience with IFRS
• Previous experience in a Big 4 or Public Accounting Environment

Salary Range
$130,000 – $150,000/yearHow to Apply
