Location: Markham, OntarioJob Description:Job SummaryThe Senior Analyst is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of data management, ensuring data integrity, and driving data-driven decision-making processes for Inbound Transportation and the Transportation Management System (TMS). This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with internal supply chain and IT teams, and external freight.

• Lead the data development for the transportation management system by being the subject matter expert for all TMS data, working with IT teams on data flows, and implementing technical business rules, including maintenance of optimization models
• Developing and maintaining KPI reports for supply chain, and communicating performance results and insights to stakeholders

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Data Management and Governance

• Lead and support management and governance of TMS data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Develop and implement data validation processes and maintain optimization models.
• Technical Leadership

• Act as the business expert for all TMS data, working closely with IT teams to design and implement data flows, technical business rules, and optimization models. Ensure the integration of TMS data with other supply chain systems.

• Data Analysis and Reporting

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization. Develop and maintain comprehensive, automated reports and dashboards using advanced data visualization tools. Present complex data insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for TMS data-related inquiries. Communicate performance results and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, and provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.

• Training and Support

• Provide training and support to end-users on TMS data tools and best practices. Mentor junior analysts and other team members to enhance their analytical and technical skills.

• Collaboration

• Work closely with supply chain and IT teams to develop and implement data integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow between systems. Collaborate with business leads to gather and document business requirements and translate them into system requirements.

• KPIs

• Develop common metrics and data processes that drive business outcomes. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics, and recommend innovative solutions to improve data-driven decision-making.

• Vacation / sick time coverage as necessary

Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications

• Bachelors’ Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain / logistics activities
• Experience with TMS, WMS, optimization tools, or network modeling preferred
• Experience with data analysis and building KPI tools preferred
