Senior Back-End Engineer (Ruby) (f/m/d)

Ready to take a step into the Meister universe? As our new Senior Engineer in the Accounts Platform Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in the next chapter of our payments engine and overall technical architecture. You’ll be at the intersection point of many exciting initiatives and ensure a high bar of quality for all of them. Not only will you develop and improve features with a cutting edge tech stack, you’ll also be a role model to junior team members and a valued sparring partner for you new peers from Product and Pricing.

Our Accounts Platform is the beating heart of our product offering and supplies a lot of fundamental abilities to MeisterTask and MindMeister, while also moving its own evolution forward. What makes you special

Real Life Experience. You have 6+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails.
Engineering Expertise. You’re skilled in the usage of API design in Ruby on Rails (Rest, GraphQL) and messaging services (Pub/Sub). Topping of, you know your way around scaling databases as well.
Infrastructure Pro. You can back up your engineering game with strong skills in IT infrastructure and DevOps, using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Payments Knowledge. You have been part of a payments migration in the past and know payments engines like Chargebee, Stripe, Maxio, etc.
Monitor & Observe. You’re familiar with monitoring and alerting tools
Communication Skills. Your effective communication skills for collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and customers, convey technical information clearly and concisely.
Mentor and Coach. You’re enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and seeing other people grow.
Team Player. You embrace asynchronous communication and enjoy working in a geographically distributed team.
