  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the MyRewards team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure concierge level service for Partners and team members
  • Organize and prioritize workload; manage multiple tasks, deliverables and projects
  • Performance coach and provide training with respect to product knowledge, claims experience, amendments, booklet updates and claim issues
  • Manage complex claim and coverage inquiries, raising appropriate issues to senior leadership as required
  • Complete merger and acquisition analysis through interpretation of benefits contracts and plan designs
  • Manage pension and benefit programs and services, making recommendations on plan enhancements and efficiencies
  • Lead administration of benefits transactions and related records maintenance carried out by the Benefits Advisory team
  • Oversee information updates in the HCMS and other records to accurately reflect benefit status related to benefits, and other employment information
  • Lead strategic initiatives as directed, contributing specialized expertise
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Manage vendor relationships and communications as required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage confidential and sensitive matters using discretion and diplomacy
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is preferred
  • Minimum eight (8) years of related industry experience with in-depth knowledge of group benefits, benefit products, pension and savings products, financial mechanisms as well as applicable legislation across Canada, ensuring corporate compliance and accountability
  • At least five (5) years of experience leading high performing teams
  • Experience within a brokerage, consulting, or carrier environment would be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office products with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to successfully mentor and support a team
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with a natural inclination towards customer service
  • Ability to speak French and English (written and oral) is considered an asset
