Senior Business Analyst, Wealth, Trade workflow positionCompany location: Downtown Toronto, Hybrid working model Salary: Market rate+Looking for Senior Business Analysts who will work closely with our project teams in GTA area to successfully deliver Application Development and System Integration projects.Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in the Information Technology
  • At least 5 years experience of business and systems analysis in the Financial Industry
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Business
  • Good knowledge of trade workflow across front, middle and back office in an asset management / Investment management setting including requirements for Charles Rivers, Simcorp Changes, Fund Serv etc.
  • Experience with T+1 regulatory changes and related impact to end to end operations and systems
  • Scrum Master Certifications preferably CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) or CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner)
  • Experience and knowledge in wealth management business domain including product knowledge of any of the following would be an asset – Fundserv, Mutual Funds, Registered Plans, Term Products, R-Wealth and Broadridge
  • At least one year experience of in delivering projects using a true Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and data driven decision making.
  • Strong business and IT knowledge and experience in the Banking and Financial Industries.
  • Experience in requirement management and planning
  • Experience in facilitating sessions with business and technical stakeholders for requirements elicitation or JAD Sessions.
  • Experience in Object Oriented analysis using Use Cases and UML
  • Sound understanding of IT concepts and principles
  • Expert in technical and business writing
  • Familiarity with business cases, cost/benefit analysis, project sizing and costing
  • Good understanding of UI design techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC methodologies and approaches
  • Technical computer knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS, SQL

Responsibilities include:

  • Define scope and requirements for projects and systems
  • Gather functional and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders
  • Document business and technical requirements accurately
  • Screen mock-ups and UI design to help visualize the target solutions
  • System integration specification analysis and documentation
  • Facilitate meeting/interviews and communicate requirements to sponsors, stakeholders and project team members
  • Verify the target solution and support the technology to ensure that the target system will meet the requirements
  • Test the solution to validate the project requirements and objectives
  • Assisting in work effort estimation and planning
  • Help mentor and support junior Business Analysts and other team members
  • Provide subject matter expertise for our offerings and services
