Senior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine & Toxicology

This Fellowship is aimed at senior trainees (ST5+) trainees wishing to seek experience in critical care and toxicology/national poisons information service. The post is for 6 to 24 months and can be adapted to support the Fellow in developing their specific area of interest.Main duties of the jobThis post would also offer consolidation of clinical skills and experience in general adult ICM, exposure to renal replacement techniques, advanced cardiovascular monitoring and support, percutaneous tracheostomy, non-invasive ventilation and advanced invasive ventilation modes including APRV.Clinical work would also involve research for the national poisons information service, a local toxicology in-reach service and participation in the local NPIS rota.The successful applicant is expected to participate in on-calls on the senior trainee rota and the NPIS rota.The post is based at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.About usCardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 15,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.
