Job summaryApplications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow post in the ENT department at Guy’s Hospital, part of King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC)This post is suitable for a Specialist Registrar who holds or is about to be awarded CCT (or equivalent) and is interested in getting further specialist experience before taking up a consultant post. An intercollegiate exam in Laryngology or equivalent is essential. Some undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and participation in audit is required. Candidates should have appropriate clinical and operative experience.Main duties of the jobOverall purpose of the post:
- To assist in the provision of high-quality ENT services to Trust patients, with specific emphasis on laryngology ENT services, including the development of the
- To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high quality of patient care and to contribute to service developments.* To take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.* To participate in research activities with the Department.* To help maintain the data collection of patients.

The appointment is primarily based at Guys Hospital. All adult surgery takes place at Guys Hospital. On-call duties will also include some off-site emergency activity at Kings College Hospital. The position is full-time and will include on-call commitments at an experienced SpR level. The post holder will be working with 2 experienced senior laryngologists. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in advanced laryngology covering voice, airway and dysphagia service. Our laryngology service is equipped with advanced technology for instance blue laser, laryngeal EMG, CO2 laser, high definition Pentax stroboscopes, Transnasal oesophagoscopes, Zeiss microscopes with recording capability etc. This enables us to provide innovative services in the field of laryngology safely and efficiently both in the outpatient and theatre facilities. Some undergraduate and post- graduate teaching and participation in audit is required.
