Senior Clinician/Clinician in Equine Surgery

The Glasgow Equine Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinician/Clinician of Equine Surgery with a focus on Soft Tissue or Orthopaedics within the School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine.The role of the Senior Clinician/Clinician is to provide academic, corporate and strategic leadership in the Glasgow Equine Hospital (Weipers Centre) referral service by further developing the School’s expertise in equine surgery. You will be part of a team driving a high level of surgery service provision, conducting clinical research and research-led education and to play a key role in driving the strategic expansion of equine academic developments. You will also deliver an integrated bench to stableside service for both first opinion and referral equine patients, in partnership with other Divisions and Schools within the Garscube campus and Gilmorehill campus.In summary, you will be expected to contribute to academic, corporate and strategic leadership in clinical service, clinical research, teaching and administration.The Glasgow Equine Hospital is accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme as an Equine Veterinary Hospital, which includes assessment in categories such as client services, inpatient services, diagnostic services, team and professional responsibility and ambulatory services. The Veterinary School has recently been rated 7th in the World and 1st in the UK for quality of education and training.
