Cost management of complex works packages, managing risk and opportunity ensuring profit on packages and project. Supporting the senior commercial team members in administering the monthly commercial procedures such as cost value report.You’ll be responsible for:

  • Manages and provides leadership to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
  • Addresses subcontractor contractual claims and change.
  • Produces monthly client application.
  • Approves invoices and issues IPC.
  • Drafts necessary technical and contractual corresponded.
  • Designs consultants and specialist fees.
  • Ensures site team acts with in commercial and legal procedures and agreements.
  • Communicates with clients and subcontractors.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:

  • Ability to chair monthly project cost report and risk meetings.
  • Strong financial skills and commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of project construction plan.
  • Ability to direct commercial manage team.
  • Ability to seek opportunities to sell Mace service and win work.
  • Ability to motivate and develop team, mentoring junior employees.
  • Degree in quantity surveying/commercial management (or equivalent).
  • CSCS.

You’ll also have:

  • Presentation skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Contract law savviness with the ability to mitigate risk and manage key clauses.
  • Understanding of Mace service offer and promote the business to clients.
  • Exposure to diverse construct projects, contracts, commercial environments and tasks (or equivalent).
  • Ability to draw on leadership style to build high performing teams.
  • Strategic approach to management of projects.
  • Understanding of client requirements and promote Mace.
  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues.
