The program will transform rail services in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) providing two-way all-day train service to the region and improving passenger experience with quieter and faster electric locomotives. The GO Expansion program includes early works, off-corridor station and infrastructure upgrades as well as an On-Corridor program to deliver new tracks, platforms, facilities, grade separations and electrification.MCS is partnering with partnering with Metrolinx to deliver the GO Expansion program. MCS’ mission is to transform the GO rail network into a rapid rail system through the delivery of the GO expansion program and to provide exemplary support to Metrolinx. As Metrolinx’s program delivery partner, the team will achieve this by facilitating the creation of outstanding organizational capability in program management and simultaneously bring our global and local expertise to successful delivery of the GO Expansion program.Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey, they are:

This role will report to the Head of Planning.You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Leading the development and implementation of the project’s planning and construction strategies, across the corridor.
- Collaborating with project teams and external stakeholders to identify and optimize construction sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Conducting feasibility studies and impact assessments to ensure effective planning and staging of construction activities.
- Coordinating with various teams to develop construction schedules, phasing plans, and mitigation measures.
- Planning of engineering trains, access and possessions, reduce possession related cost due to engineering trains, Increase efficiency of engineering access.
- Attending planning meetings ensuring effect planning is done to reduce safety, maximize performance of engineering possessions.
- Chair integration and deconfliction and readiness meetings for engineering possessions.
- Monitoring and updating the project’s planning and staging activities based on changing requirements and constraints.
You’ll Need To Have:
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in construction planning and staging for large infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics planning, and resource management
- Familiarity with construction methodologies, safety regulations, and environmental considerations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
