As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have a direct impact on chargeback prevention, playing a pivotal role in developing and deploying advanced models that drive consumer trust and business growth. Your deep expertise in Statistical Modeling, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI Engineering will empower you to not only identify and resolve data quality challenges but also enhance the overall consumer experience. With strong coding skills in Python, SQL, and big data frameworks such as Spark and Hive, you will drive innovation through the effective deployment of machine learning solutions in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.We’re looking for a pro-active problem-solver with excellent attention to detail, someone who can balance experimentation with operational efficiency while also communicating insights clearly to a variety of stakeholders. • Translate business problems into scientific challenges and develop innovative data-driven solutions (AI, ML, DL, GenAI, etc.).
• Lead and execute data science projects across product and business teams within the Mastercard/Ethoca organization.
• Perform hands-on data extraction, analysis, cleaning, preparation, and modeling to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Deploy, document, and maintain machine learning models in production environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Present findings and technical insights to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization.
• Contribute to the protection and recognition of innovations through patenting technologies and publishing research at academic and industry conferences.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes, evaluating tools and technologies for future use.
• Share knowledge by presenting your work at conferences and universities, advancing the field of data science.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business units, to align AI-driven solutions with business objectives.

All About You:

• Proven experience in end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning and deep learning solutions (from data exploration to model deployment).
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and AI algorithms, with practical experience deploying scalable models in production environments.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, uncover patterns, and develop innovative solutions to improve data quality and model performance.
• Experience ensuring data governance and privacy standards are upheld, with a focus on data security.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to align AI strategies with organizational goals.
• A curious and critical mindset, with excellent problem-solving and scientific reasoning skills.

Proficiency in Python and R, along with experience using ML frameworks like Scikit-learn and Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Strong knowledge of SQL, SAP HANA, Hadoop, and Snowflake.
• Experience with Linux, Azure, Azure Machine Learning, and Databricks.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Graph Analytics, Fuzzy Matching, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Text Analytics.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field (PhD is a plus).
